Transmitter Description
This T-Hunt transmitter is owned by the Mississippi Radio Direction Finding Association (MSRDF). This transmitter is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and is thus very easy to hide. It plays a recorded audio file, then identifies with CW tones. We change the audio recording to suit each hunt. It has an adjustable RF output which can be set from 0.1mW (-10dBm) up to 65mW (18dBm) depending upon each hunt's needs. We use different types of antennas and antenna polarization on this transmitter, depending upon the type of Hunt and the size of the hunt boundary. We use it for special Hunts in Central Mississippi on a regular basis, including our monthly 3rd Saturday T-Hunts, which are held in conjunction with the Central Mississippi Amateur Radio Association's 3rd Saturday Expeditions.

Transmitter Description
This T-Hunt transmitter is owned by the Scott County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) in Morton, MS. It is a small 15mW micro transmitter which emits tones and Morse code. We place it somewhere in Scott County every weekend at 6:00 PM on Fridays and remove it at 8:00 PM on Sundays. This gives you a 48+ hour window of opportunity during which you can choose a convenient time to hunt for it during the weekend. It has a QR Code on it which registered Hunters must scan to log their find. The first, second, and third finders who log it each week will receive First Place, Second Place, and Third place credit and awards for that week’s hunt. All finders who log it will receive credit for finding it and have their hunt statistics calculated for online viewing. Make sure you register an account to use Hunt Manager, then Sign Up for a Hunt in advanced, then when you arrive at the Hunt Starting Location use your mobile phone to Start the Hunt. And when you find the transmitter use your mobile phone to scan the QR Code to log your find.
